We purchased this "Home Plate" for a non-sports related activity. We live on a golf course and originally named our home "Bushwood" after Bushwood Country Club in the movie "Caddy Shack." After our kids left home our place became the haven for all to gather for various activities and somewhat of a respite for all. We decided to rename our place, "HOME BASE" and needed an art project to change the name. We have purchased this home plate to attach to a tree alongside of our driveway to show the world that this is 'Home Base." for all who wish to come. We will write diagonally with black paint the words, HOME BASE, in black paint. It is perfect for our needs. Price was good, construction of base is good and shipping was good. Thank you.
